Where a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25 Abs. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's terminal equipment (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Information on the relevant legal bases in each individual case is provided in the following paragraphs of this privacy policy.

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can revoke consent that has already been given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out up to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

IF THE DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6(1)(E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY TIME TO OBJECT, ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS CONNECTED WITH SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).

Within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, where applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data. You can contact us at any time regarding this and any other questions on the subject of personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time regarding this. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of the data processing instead of erasure.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it for the exercise, defence or establishment of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

SSL / TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data that you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

4. Data collection on this website

Cookies

Our web pages use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small data packages and do not cause any damage to your terminal equipment. They are stored on your terminal equipment either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your terminal equipment until you delete them yourself or until they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

Cookies may originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services from third-party companies within web pages (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies may be used to analyse user behaviour or for advertising purposes.

Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions that you have requested (e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is stated. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Where consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25 Abs. 1 TTDSG); consent can be revoked at any time.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

You can find out which cookies and services are used on this website in this privacy policy.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer
  • time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and the optimisation of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be collected.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as your enquiry is connected with the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request its erasure, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data ceases to apply (e.g. after your enquiry has been dealt with). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Enquiry by email, telephone or fax

If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your enquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of dealing with your request.

The data you send to us via contact enquiries will remain with us until you request its erasure, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data ceases to apply (e.g. after your request has been dealt with). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

5. Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require from you an email address as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected, or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The data entered in the newsletter registration form is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke the consent given for the storage of the data, the email address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you deposit with us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe from the newsletter or after the purpose ceases to apply. We reserve the right to delete or block email addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our own discretion within the scope of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.

After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored by us or the newsletter service provider in a blacklist, insofar as this is necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist is used only for this purpose and is not merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with the legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The storage in the blacklist is not limited in time. You can object to the storage if your interests override our legitimate interest.

6. Consent management (consent tool)

Our website uses cookies and comparable technologies. Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions that you have requested are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. All other cookies (in particular for statistics and marketing) are used only with your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. To obtain and manage your consent, we use a consent tool. Your selection is stored; you can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings.

7. Newsletter and email marketing (Brevo)

For sending our newsletter and for marketing automation, we use Brevo. The provider is Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin (part of the Brevo group). When you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address as well as the data collected during registration on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Registration takes place using the double opt-in procedure; you can revoke your consent at any time, for example via the unsubscribe link in every email.

Brevo also enables statistical analyses of our newsletters (e.g. whether a message was opened or a link was clicked) as well as – insofar as covered by your consent – an analysis of your usage behaviour on our website. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. A data processing agreement exists with the provider. Details: https://www.brevo.com/de/datenschutz-uebersicht/.

8. Web analytics: Google Analytics 4

This website uses – only with your consent – the analytics service Google Analytics 4. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics enables us to analyse the behaviour of website visitors, for example which pages are viewed. In doing so, usage data (e.g. shortened IP address, pages viewed, device and browser information) is processed and partly stored on Google's servers, including in the USA.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). The transfer to the USA is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework as well as on standard contractual clauses. You can revoke your consent at any time via the cookie settings. Further information: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

9. Advertising: Google Ads (conversion tracking and remarketing)

Only with your consent do we use Google Ads with conversion tracking and remarketing (provider: Google Ireland Limited, address as above). With this, we measure the success of our advertising and can display interest-based advertising to you on third-party websites. For this purpose, cookies or comparable technologies are used and usage data is transmitted – including to Google in the USA. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), which can be revoked via the cookie settings. For the data transfer to the USA, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses apply.

10. Payment service providers

To process payments, we use external payment service providers. If you specify a payment method during the order process, the data required for this (e.g. name, address, payment and contract data) is transmitted to the respective service provider. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) as well as Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure payment processing).

The provider is PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxemburg. In addition to the PayPal account, other payment methods are also processed via PayPal (including credit and debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, "Pay Later" as well as local payment methods such as iDEAL, Bancontact, BLIK, Przelewy24 and eps). Details: https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full.

11. Shipping via DHL

To deliver your order, we pass on the necessary address and contact data to the shipping company we have commissioned. For parcel shipping, we use DHL Group (Deutsche Post AG or DHL Paket GmbH, 53113 Bonn). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. If you have consented to the transmission of your email address or telephone number for shipment notification, this is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

12. Address verification

In order to avoid misdeliveries and delivery problems caused by incorrect address entries, we check the delivery address you have entered for plausibility. This check is carried out automatically, is non-binding and does not prevent you from completing your order – you merely receive a notice if an entry appears inconsistent.

Data transmitted: For the check, only address components (street, house number, postcode, town and country) are processed. Your name, your company, email address or other personal data is not transmitted. The request is made server-side by us; your IP address is not passed on to the services in the process.

Services used: Addresses in Germany are checked against the OpenPLZ API (openplzapi.org), an open web service for official postcode, town and street data. Addresses in other countries are checked via the Address Validation API of the Google Maps Platform. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). In doing so, a transfer to Google LLC in the USA may take place. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, whereby an adequate level of data protection is ensured; additionally, standard contractual clauses are in place.

Legal basis: The processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in correct address capture and the avoidance of misdeliveries and returns pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You can find further information on data protection at Google at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

13. Customer reviews

You can review products in our shop. In doing so, we process the data you provide (e.g. name or display name and review text). The review is published. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent); this can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

14. Back-in-stock notification

If an item is not available, you can have yourself notified by email as soon as it is back in stock. We process your email address exclusively for this purpose on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and delete it after the notification has been sent or after your revocation.
